The Well Elf

In Obernai there is a well called the « six bucket » well. It is known for its sculpted figure, «The Obernai Mask » which has inspired this piece. It is a little plant genie standing for vitality and plant fertility, from which comes his name : « The Green Man » or « The fertile Man ».
